Part-time Private
Shiloh Christian Academy offers a support program for 4th-8th graders and this
school year we added 1st-3rd graders, as well as a class for Upper-level students. Shiloh is a part-time private school, partnering with parents to teach students 2 days a week. Class size is limited to 25 students with the assistance of a full-time Teacher Aide to meet the needs of varying abilities. (The younger class currently has 5 students and will remain smaller) Students work together as a community like a modern-day version of a One-Room Schoolhouse. Students are taught the same subject matter, but expectations vary based on grade levels. Students will learn good study habits, discipline, note-taking & organizational skills, as well as how to prepare for tests. As a community, students work regularly in group settings and participate in presentations throughout the year. Shiloh is a Christ-focused program where students learn Biblical Worldview perspectives so that they can grow in their faith to become Godly men & women.
Glenda’s true passion is to teach students to love to learn in an atmosphere where God is glorified! She has been a teacher since the late 1980’s, which included teaching in private & public schools, as well as teaching her own children for 17 years. During her time with her own children, she discovered what matters the most! Now that her own children are grown adults who love the Lord, she has found her true calling as an educator! It is to pay it forward to the next generation and not only teach them academically, but to also foster a deep, intimate relationship with the Lord!
