WHO ARE WE?
Shiloh Christian Academy is a part-time private school, partnering with parents to teach students 2 days a week. We have been offering classes for 4th-8th graders since 2008 and then we expanded in 2023 by adding a 1st-3rd grade class. Our goal for this coming school year is to offer 3 classrooms for students in Kindergarten thru 8th grade. K-2nd, 3rd-5th and 6th-8th. We will confirm this soon. Students at Shiloh work together as a community like a modern-day version of a One-Room Schoolhouse. Students are taught the same subject matter, but expectations vary based on classrooms & grade levels. Students in the older class will learn good study habits, discipline, note-taking & organizational skills, as well as how to prepare for tests. As a community, students work regularly in group settings and participate in presentations throughout the year.
Shiloh is here to partner and support homeschooling families in their educational endeavors by providing a safe, Christian environment for students to grow, not only academically, but also spiritually, mentally, socially, and emotionally.
Glenda Childs is a CO Certified teacher endorsed for K-12th grade. She has a B.A. in Elem. Ed. and a M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction. She has worked with children of all ages since 1985, including teaching in the JeffCo Public Schools and in a private Christian school. She has also enjoyed homeschooling her own 3 children since 1996. She founded Shiloh Christian Academy in 2008 to partner with homeschoolers in their educational journey.
Statement of Faith:
We believe the entire Bible to be the infallible Word of God, sole determining doctrine and acting guide for life.
We believe in one God, in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross to redeem mankind from sin and to give us eternal life.
We believe God's Word also declares that no one comes to the Father except through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. What He did over 2000 years ago,
He is still doing today through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit operating through those who believe in Him.
